Essaouira averages 300+ kiteable days per year. Our launch sits on the city beach (31.5098° N, 9.7620° W), 10 minutes from the UNESCO medina and 2.5 km from Essaouira-Mogador airport. Lessons follow IKO progression with radio helmets from Level 2 upward.

Wind rose & dominant directions

NW (trade / Mistral) 60% of season — cross-on from the right on the main beach. N and NE bring cleaner waves for surf; W and SW are rare storm days. Best months: April–October (18–30 kt afternoons).

Spots we use

Main beach zone in front of the school for discovery and water starts. Advanced riders: Moulay Hassan lagoon flats (when open) and downwinders toward Sidi Kaouki with guide only.

Distance from town

Medina ramparts to rigging area: ~10 min walk / 3 min taxi. Hotels on Rue d'Agadir: 5 minutes. We store gear overnight for multi-day courses.
